Epic dungeon synth from South Carolina by Seregost. 'Dragon Crown' is an enthralling full length from 2024 with a strong old school fantasy atmosphere, aided by the original illustration made by Silvana Massa for the album.
It was previously released on Seregost's own Obsidian Relics label, and is now getting a pro-tape reissue by Forsaken Relics and Out Of Season, who also collaborated on last year's triumphant Valen album 'Viarum'.

It is a time of warfare, of battles fierce and magicks terrifying. Kingdoms driven by the furor for power and greed argue and ally amongst themselves. Mercenary bands join the fray to heap coin and glory upon their names, and the lands are bathed in the hymns of bloodlust, battle, and lamentation.

The Westfold has fallen to war, as dreaded warbands harry the countryside, searching for the ancient Dragon Crown, a relic said to convey the power to commune with the mighty dragons themselves. Should the great beasts join the quarrels of humans, the impact would be dire, indeed.

The Corruption spreads further North, its loathsome malevolence slowly festering like a fevered sore upon the land and the Cult of the Riven is said to be spreading its gospel of disease among the peoples with worrisome speed and fervor.

In the Southweald, the High Priestess has had visions of a new power unfolding, a new magick to be used to aid the Kingdoms in their time of need, and her Farseeing dreams continue: dreams of a Hero, He who is said to emerge and drive back the forces of Corruption - He who would wield a weapon forged of the Cosmos.
