*DELIVERY TIMES / SHIPPING / PRE-ORDERS*

Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE YOU TO PACKAGE AND SEND MY ORDER?

A: I strive to send all orders out as soon as possible, but please note Out of Season is a one man operation and orders are packaged and shipped only nights and on weekends as I also work a full time regular job Monday through Friday 9-5.
That said, all orders are normally shipped within 5 business days, but typically much faster than this!

If it has been more than 5 business days (weekends do not count as 'business days'), feel free to send a message by email via the "Contact Us" link to ask for an update or just reply to your confirmation email. Please be patient and only email us asking for a status update after this timespan has elapsed. Thanks for your understanding.

NOTE: There are some occurrences when it may take longer to mail your items, especially if we have received a large volume of orders all at once during a new release period.

Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE THE POSTAL SERVICE TO DELIVER MY ORDER?

Once shipped, most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of the postal service, the shipping option you selected, and your distance from the state of Maine. International shipping (including Canada) delivery times may vary between 2-8 weeks.

All domestic and most international destinations are shipped with tracking included so you can keep track of where your package is and when to expect it. We suggest using the site https://www.17track.net to get the best tracking results.

NOTE: All items are packed well to ensure safe delivery, but we cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss caused by the Postal Service during transit!

Q: I MADE A "PRE-ORDER" - WHEN ARE MY ITEMS SHIPPING?

A: Check the item description in your order closely - any that are pre-orders will give a quote of estimated shipping time - this quote is the time from the date you made your order.
So, for example - if an item says "Pre-Order - shipping in 6-8 weeks" please only email us to ask for an update AFTER this period of time has elapsed. Note that the shipping estimate DOES NOT take into account how long it will take to reach you once we send it. For international customers, this can take up to another 2-8 weeks to reach you from the US, so please keep that in mind as well.

Q: CAN YOU SHIP MY TAPES/CDs WITHOUT THEIR PLASTIC CASES TO SAVE ON SHIPPING?

A: Yes! This is another way you can save on international shipping costs!
You can order up to 6 tapes without their plastic boxes for the same price as 3 with the plastic boxes included!
To request this option: Simply place your order as normal and write in the notes SEND MY ORDER WITHOUT THE PLASTIC TAPE CASES - we will then refund you the excess shipping charged.
EXAMPLE: 6 tapes with cases = $24 internationally -- 6 tapes without cases = $14 internationally - $10 saved.
You will receive only the tapes/discs and their inserts only.

Q: DO YOU ACCEPT ORDERS PLACED OUTSIDE THE US?

A:Yes, worldwide - with the exception of a few locations.* Most destinations also include Tracking, see a full list here:

*We do not ship to any of the following nations: Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Philippines, Syria, Yemen, Guatemala, Venezuela or any nations on the continent of Africa and we reserve the right to cancel any orders we suspect to be possibly fraudulent or with a low chance of delivery, regardless of origin.

Q: WHY ARE YOUR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PRICES SO HIGH?

A: Unfortunately, we have no control over these prices as they are determined by the US government.
The USPS decided to raise their rates (again) in January 2019 as they do every year. This is determined by the US Government and we have no control over this (very high) amount they decide to charge.

The bad: rates went up.
The good: The new system is a weight based tier system, so you can now order up to 3 tapes for the same shipping cost as 1 tape.

To explain further:
You can order 1 tape and the shipping will be $10 Canada/$13 elsewhere. (8oz tier)
You can order 2 tapes and the shipping will be $10 Canada/$14 elsewhere. (8oz tier)
You can order 3 tapes and the shipping will be $10 Canada/$14 elsewhere. (8oz tier)
Over 8oz there is a jump to the next price tier as outlined in the tables at the bottom of this page.

We strongly suggest that you order more than 1 item at a time to minimize the cost to you, or order together with a friend in your country.

Note also that our releases are typically distributed by the following labels should you wish to try and order our releases from a closer locale:
Tour de Garde (Canada), Depressive Illusions (Ukraine), Resistance Soundscape (Russia), Forsaken Relics/Gondolin Records (Denmark), Seance Records (Australia) and from many of the artists themselves.

We are looking for more partners in other locations too (especially Asia/Australia) so please contact us if interested in distribution.

*DOWNLOADS*

Q: SOME OF MY ITEMS DID NOT COME WITH A DOWNLOAD CARD, WHERE ARE THEY?

A: Please note that not all items come with a DL code. Any that do, will have this noted in the product description if applicable and say "with DL card", so please take a look at your confirmation email closely. If you order an item that says "with DL card" and that item is indeed missing it, please let us know. Before writing, please check inside the item, or in the pile of flyers/stickers that are always included with orders as sometimes the DL cards are included there.

Q: DO YOU OFFER IMMEDIATE DOWNLOAD CODES WITH YOUR RELEASES?

A: Currently, no. Any items that are noted to come with a download are packaged with a physical download card you will receive included with your items.

*WHOLESALE/TRADES*

Q: DO YOU OFFER WHOLESALE FOR YOUR RELEASES?

A: Typically, yes, but for some titles it is not always possible. Feel free to email us and inquire if you are interested in a wholesale order, we're always looking for new distributors!

Q: I RUN A RECORD STORE, HOW DO I GET COPIES OF YOUR RELEASES?

A: We deal direct - Please send us an email if interested in carrying our releases in your store!

Q: DO YOU OFFER TRADES FOR YOUR RELEASES?

A:Sometimes, Yes..but it totally depends on what you are offering! We have a high priority on TAPE/CD releases but if you have a vinyl only release we may be open to that too.
To sum up: contact us if you have quality releases of dungeon synth, black metal or dark ambient - we are not interested in thrash, death metal etc!

*RETURN POLICY / PAYMENTS / SECURITY*

Q: WHAT IS YOUR RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY?

A: All sales are final. No returns or exchanges unless we accidentally mail you an incorrect item.
If an item is defective we will replace it free of charge, of course.

Q: HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER? IS IT SECURE?

A: Our site is secured using industry-standard SSL encryption.
The checkout process is powered by PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay or Shopify Payments (for credit cards), some of the most trusted online payment solutions on the web. Because of this, we have all the same securities and payment fraud protection available that these trusted companies do.

*DEMO SUBMISSIONS*

Q: DO YOU ACCEPT DEMO SUBMISSIONS?

A: Yes, but with a few caveats:
1) Priority is given to PHYSICAL submissions sent to us on tape/CD/vinyl formats! (Send to: PO Box 8597, Portland, ME 04104, USA).
2) Otherwise a simple link to your audio and a short description is fine.
3) Feel free to send something our way but we cannot guarantee a reply.
4) Sending follow up messages in a day or two after submission asking "Did you check out our demo yet?!?!?" guarantees we will never listen to your work and send it straight to the trash - patience is a virtue.
5) Note that our release schedule is already planned well into the future, so we are not actively searching out new releases at the moment, but the future is not written in stone, so who knows - that said, there have been a few releases to date that were signed on via a submission!

A: We use a weighted shipping calculation system, based on actual USPS rates
