Crysalidis is the new musical endeavour of Catalan composer Sathorys Elenorth (from Narsilion, Ordo Funebris, Lugburz and Der Blaue Reiter), who after years of silence makes his return to Tolkien-inspired atmospheric medievalist music.

'Frostbound Secrets of Middle-earth' is the debut album of Crysalidis. It consists of eight evocative tracks both somber and luminous, which reference events from the history of Arda. The artwork features original art by Silvana Massa, and presents a short narrative for each track as Middle-earth is re-evoked in moments of light and shadow.
